Hey! Thanks for checking out this song I wrote. Well, it's kind of a song in that it has lyrics and the basic music written for it. However it is a long way from complete musically. I can sort of play the basic riff on "Blue Steel" (my electric guitar's name).
The style of the song I had in mind was pretty much a sort of chunky, metal style. It's played on a down-tuned guitar, and just uses simple power chords to provide that sort of heavy, chunky melody line.
Since it is a "metal" song, of sorts, I did have visions of someone death-growling the lyrics for me, because I can't sing very well, and can't death growl without sounding lame and feeling silly. Why death-growl? Because to me it shows passion. It is a fairly angry song, expressing frustration with having to fight conflicting desires, and as such that vocal style is appropriate.
Since I never really got around to recording the guitar part for it, just make up your own heavy melody for it in your head when you read it, and envision me or someone better looking singing it in a growly voice.
